Building Automation & Controls |
Airon has been designing and installing Building Automation Systems (BAS) since 1995. Building Automation Systems provide centralized control and monitoring of key building operations (Heating, Cooling, Ventilation, lighting, Security, Card access, Fire and Safety, etc.) through a network of specialized microprocessors accessible by Humans via a web browser or graphical software packages installed on local or remote computers.
The Key advantages to a BAS system are:
- Reduced Energy Costs
- Reduced Maintenance Costs
- Improved System Maintenance
- Early warning of system failures

System Integration
|
System integration is fast becoming a necessity in modern business management. It provides a mechanism for extracting information from different building systems for use in managing facility operations. An example of this would be to monitor and trend the temperature and humidity with in a plant to ensure the environmental conditions do not have a detrimental effect on the quality of the product leaving the facility. Often integration requires information from several sources to be exported to spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel for analysis by both operations and claims managers. Airon has developed the expertise and product knowledge to provide these solutions to our customers.

Energy Audits
|
Airon provides energy audits as a service to our clients to help them in the decision to invest in a building automation system upgrade to their facility. The energy audit provides a conservative estimate of energy savings provided by the Building Automation System that can be leveraged against the cost of the BAS installation. A financing partner may work directly with the owner to finance the cost of the installation over a number a years. Often, through financing, the pay back period is eliminated and the client can start achieving energy savings immediately over and above the cost of financing the installation.

Specifications
|
Airon has many years experience in the HVAC and Control business. This is our business, we have the knowledge and we can help. As today’s technology continually advances it is difficult for consultants to stay informed with the latest technological advancements. In providing control and instrumentation specifications consultants must:
- Beware of providing generic open specs as they could lead to a mix of many vendors products selected by inexperienced control contractors based on best price, resulting in poor quality and customer dependence on the installing contractor.
- Beware of providing outdated specs as they could result in a proprietary product installation which will be prematurely outdated resulting in customer dependence on the product manufacturer and ultimately, costly system modernization.
If you are a consultant working on a project with a control system specification, contact us, we will help.

HVAC & Control System Service
|
Airon looks at every new project as an opportunity to develop a long-term business relationship with the end user. Our roots are in the service business. Our service technicians are field experienced, and are kept constantly abreast of new technology by regular factory training, and hands on commissioning of the latest HVAC equipment that is installed on projects. We also provide service and maintenance on pneumatic, electronic, proprietary Honeywell DDC and Open DDC control systems
|
Remote Monitoring

|
Through remote monitoring of our BAS sites Airon can provide pro-active service to our clients. We know if a primary pump has failed and the secondary pump has taken over. We can inform the customer and initiate a repair before the entire system goes down and avoid irate tenants and a costly system start up procedure.

Echelon Corporation developed Lon Works systems in 1988 to meet a demand for an open protocol that would provide the ability to have DDC controllers from different manufacturers exist and communicate on an open network. Today more than 600 products, available from many different manufacturers, are Lon Certified and can co-exist and communicate information between controllers and upward through building LAN systems to enterprise network devices and software management tools. Airon believes it is absolutely critical to establish a Lon Network infrastructure on every new application to ensure the system will be maintained and expandable in a cost-effective manner in the future.
